Biometrics by the Canals, Mandurah, Western Australia December 1-5, 2013

Before and after the conference

For those pre-conference and/or conference delegates who will be in Perth a few days earlier or staying a few days later, we recommend the following:

1. Accommodation at Cottesloe Beach

If you want to enjoy life close to the beach, we have arranged a special accommodation rate at the Ocean Beach Hotel in Cottesloe. Click on http://www.obh.com.au to see more. Please quote the code Biometrics 923 to receive a discount on the Deluxe room with a view of the ocean ($170) or an Executive room (like the Deluxe but at the back and no ocean view $150. Ask for a room on the south-side of the hotel. Also, ask about the special $10 voucher to have a cooked breakfast at the C-Blu restaurant next door). Google the area to see the iconic and famous Cottesloe Beach with restaurants/cafes and 2 hotels (OBH and Cottesloe). A short walk (20 minutes) to the Cottesloe train station to take you to Fremantle or Perth, as well as a bus at your front door (Bus 102) that can take you to the Cottesloe Train Station.

2. Other places/attractions in Perth/Fremantle

Simply Google accommodation in Perth/Fremantle. See also http://www.whatsoninperth.com.au/ for attractions such as Kings Park, The Bell Tower, the Art Gallery, The Perth Mint, The University of Western Australia, The Perth Zoo, Fremantle Maritime Museum and the Swan River of course.

See also the new website ShowMePerth.com.au for more things to do and stay in Perth, Western Australia.

3. Beyond Perth/Fremantle

You may be able to find day trips or other suggestions for more than a day, if you click on WA-Fremantle or WA-Perth For example, from the above Western Australia page, you can see what is on after in the South-West region WA-South_West and/or other regions. Please note that late November/Early December can start to warm up so make sure you carry enough water/ fluids, wear a hat /sunglasses and loose clothing (long-sleeves to avoid sunburn) if you are travelling out in the bush!

The above information belongs to the main website www.WesternAustralia.com which is your one-stop website to explore Western Australia.
